It’s so easy to get sucked into a world of social media first thing in the morning, especially if your anything like me and use your phone as an alarm. You see the notifications and instantly start scrolling to see what you’ve missed during the night. 

This is such an unproductive habit that can lead to a negative frame of mind before you even start your day. Often leaving us feel unfulfilled and anxious. However finding an alternative morning routine that you can commit to is hard. That’s why when I came across The Daily Greatness Journal, I felt inspired to start the day with positive intensions! 

The Daily Greatness Journal only takes around 5 minutes of your time in the morning and 5 minutes at night. There’s a fantastic introduction in the first few pages which will help you understand what to write where and how the diary works. After filling in the first few pages, you’ll then get to the pages dedicated to your daily diary. Each day is designed to getting your ass in gear! Half the page is to be filled in the morning and the other half at night. Each day there will be different questions like, what are you grateful for? What are your inspired actions for today? How are you feeling?

It also has a section where you can write down any reminders or inspirations, which I love. In the evening it will ask you how your day went, what could you have done differently and what went well. It’s so great to have an opportunity to reflect on the day, especially when you feel you could have dealt with things a little differently, or congratulate yourself when the day went exceptionally well! If I miss a day of writing due to travelling or life getting in the way, I’ll just pick it up where I left off. (You write the date on the side of the page yourself, so you don’t have to skip half the diary if you miss a few days).

You’ll see a a range of different diaries on their website. Some other favourites are the Wellness and Yoga Diaries. It took me some time to decide which one was best for me but in the end I felt that I connected with the Daily Greatness Journal the most, as it offered advice and support in all areas of my life.  The Daily Greatness Journal has really changed the way I look at the world and has, after only 2 months, given me so much insight on what I’m doing well and what needs upgrading. I’ve finally taken a huge step and committed to a two year Yoga teachers training course and this diary has had a huge part to play in that! It helped me realise my desires and cleared my head of any doubts, fear and insecurities I might have had about taking the plunge!  It's an investment you won't regret.
