Fashion For The Future
Welcome to September’s Sustainable Sunday! We have been dying to share this post with you. Not only do we have an amazing brand to talk about but a whole collection that we are seriously lusting after. We are bringing you a concept and a designer that we feel so enthusiastic about…we cannot contain our excitement! Are you ready to hear about a brand that is locally sourced, sustainable, organic AND a part of the slow fashion movement?!
We are so pleased to introduce P.i.C style to the Eat Sleep Organic community. P.i.C which stands for Partners in Crime is a label consciously designed and made in London. The label itself consists of timeless pieces to create the perfect capsule wardrobe. The concept around capsule wardrobes has been a hot topic in the slow fashion movement. Imagine a wardrobe containing a few essential items that can be worn season after season, don’t go out of style and can be worn in numerous ways? Sounds appealing right?
The P.i.C collection has pieces to suit every occasion whether you’re looking to feel casual, comfy, sexy, fun, professional. The pieces are all interchangeable and versatile. The collection features eight pieces that can be worn 50 different ways!
Not only is the brand sustainable, but organic materials that are sourced locally are used throughout the collection. The Beau Cami, featured on both Ceri and Nat in black or white is made from 100% organic bamboo silk. Yes! Vegan silk! One of our favourite pieces is the Hackney Jumpsuit made from organic cotton. It can be worn as a jumpsuit or high waisted cropped trousers. We love the fact that it can be worn in the summer months with the De Beau Cami and then also with a turtle neck or jumper in the winter.
The owner behind the label also launched P.i.C style alongside the brand to collaborate with other designers and showcase their work. Their website features brands that share a similar ethos.
We had the pleasure of meeting Rhoda the designer and founder of P.i.C Style at their store 99 Essex Road in Islington, London. We tried on the whole P.i.C collection and were so blown away by how versatile, comfortable and well fitting the pieces were. We were a little worried as we are not the tallest girl’s around that the some of the pieces would not suit us however we were pleasantly surprised that we loved the fit of everything! We had so much fun trying on all the pieces and left with a couple of items and the desire to purchase the whole collection.
In the words of P.i.C style “ It’s time to stop overbuying and instead choose stuff you love, and invest in it. We believe there is a better way”. Check out their amazing collection and website here!
