3 Superfood Latte Recipes

It is just us or does it still feel like winter?!  We appreciate all types of seasons but we are really ready for some real spring weather.  To keep us warm and merry throughout this particularly cold spring you will always find us sipping on some kind of latte.  As much as we love to go out with friends to cafes and coffee shops for drinks it can be pretty expensive so we love to create our own.  We are always thinking of ways to upgrade our daily food and beverage choices to contain as many benefits as possible, whilst tasting delicious of course!  So we have decided to share 3 or our favourite go to recipes with you that are revitalising, warming and packed with superfoods.  

Ok, we know the term superfood is thrown around A LOT these days.  So before all the confusion we thought we'd share our thoughts on what a superfood is.  There is no criteria used to class a food as a superfood, that is why the term is often confusing.  Unlike your average fruit or vegetable that will provide you with some minerals, vitamins and nutrients, superfoods take it up one level and are jam packed with nutrients.  Therefore adding them to your diet is a great idea!  In our recipes we are using the following superfoods:

Beetroot Powder in our Beetroot Latte:  

This may seem like a weird base for a latte but trust us beetroot powder tastes sweet and delicious and we're lusting over anything pink right now!  Beetroots have so many benefits - they contain B vitamins, vitamin C, folic acid and iron.  Check out our recipe video to find out why these vitamins and minerals are so great for you. 


Organic Matcha Powder in our Matcha Latte:

Reishi Mushroom powder in our Mushroom Mocha:

You can see exactly how to make these lattes in the video below and to make it even easier we've added the ingredient list underneath so that you can start making and enjoying them ASAP.  

Beetroot Latte:

1 cup of Plenish hazelnut milk

1 teaspoon of Beetroot powder

1 tablespoon of cacao butter

1 tablespoon of maple syrup


Matcha Latte:

1/8 of a cup of warm water

1/4 - 1 teaspoon of matcha powder

1 teaspoon of lucuma powder

1 teapsoon of tocotreinols

1 cup of Plenish almond milk


Mushroom Mocha Latte:

1/8 of a cup of warm water

2 tablepoons of raw cacao powder

1 teaspoon of reishi powder

2 teaspoons of dandy blend or organic instant coffee

1-2 tablespoons of maple syrup 

1 cup of Plenish cashew milk
